What translation of the bible do you use?
Various translations are used to give an understanding of God’s Word. The King James Version is the standard version for our scripture readings. Choose a bible that is personal to you and bring it with you to all services that you may compare what is being taught with the Word of God.
Is there a dress code? How do I dress for church?
You can expect a variety of dress styles among the congregation. You may dress however you are comfortable. We just ask that your dress be respectful to the other congregants as well as to yourself (i.e. no clothing or items that would be considered offensive because of graphics, language or message or of a provocative nature).
First Sunday is Communion Sunday so leaders dress in official clergy attire.
Fourth Sunday is family Sunday so casual wear or jeans are appropriate for all attendees including clergy.
How often do you hold communion?
We hold our communion service on the First Sunday of each month.
Do you provide nursery and childcare during Sunday worship services?
We provide a safe children’s program for those ages 3 to 12 years old during the 11:30am Sunday worship service.
Word & Praise Faith Ministries, Inc. COVID-19 Policy
Word & Praise Faith Ministries
and all of its entities are committed to providing a safe environment for our total worship experience (Spirit, soul and body). In light of the pandemic spread of COVID-19, we have increased the frequency of cleaning procedures at high touch point areas such as door handles, doorplates, faucet and toilet handles, etc. Our Ministry has implemented the following precautions for this season:
All hugging, handshaking, and close proximity touching have been suspended.
These typical displays of our love for each other are to be replaced with fist or elbow bumps, peace signs, and other non-touching forms of social distancing.
When praying, all ministers will extend their hands toward the congregant and maintain safe distancing.
As we deal with this pandemic virus, and make natural adjustments accordingly, we declare our God is entirely faithful, and our protection comes from Him! (Psalm 89:8, 18 and 91 NLT)
We encourage members, guests, students, and clients to observe the following instructions:
Avoid all unnecessary travel.
Wash hands frequently throughout each day for at least 20 seconds.
Drink plenty of water. Water is essential to bolstering the immune system. As this disease is viral, it seeks to attach itself to weak immune systems.
Avoid touching the mouth, face, or nose.
All persons 65 and older with preexisting conditions that are prevalent, are asked by the CDC to be cautious about leaving home in this environment.
Word and Praise Faith Ministries will also postpone all services within the in the building until further notice.
Lastly, we bind the spirit of fear!
